One of the noblest callings today, education is the field that sows the seeds of knowledge and enlightenment for budding young minds. Those who venture into education typically do so because they have a great passion for teaching and not because of ambitions for personal gain. The real reward of teaching is not the holidays and benefits and paychecks that educators receive, but rather the joy of sharing knowledge with a classroom of rapt students.
Teachers can choose to specialize in many different teaching environments. For example, some prefer to teach young children in elementary schools while others prefer to teach at a high school or collegiate level. Teachers in elementary schools typically stay with one group of children for the entire school year and teach them a variety of subjects, including English and mathematics. Teachers in middle school and higher typically specialize in one subject, such as biology or calculus, and teach this subject to multiple classes.
Education administrators are important to school systems as well. They keep schools running smoothly and efficiently by maintaining education standards, determining proper punishment for those who disrupt the learning process, and ensuring the safety and productivity of students and faculty alike.
